Last update was from Airlie Beach. In Airlie Beach we did the Whit Sundays tour on a boat called The Atlantic Clipper.
Have a look at the beauty.
Huge boat which contains 51 people. The first day we did some jumps from the boat, and it is safe to say that none of us have done that before! Either way we succeeded (more or less), and i got some pictures of it of course.
The first picture here is me doing a backflip. As you see i am performing it as the but Condor (huge bird), which gave me the average judgement of 9,7 points.
Sissel did the front flip as you can see here. Her amazing way of mooning the entire crew gave her points 9,8. Of course i am not satisfied with the outcome of the judges ruling.
Finally the last contestant is Thomas. He is elegantly trying to copy me (and yes Thomas, that is the correct order that i jumped first), gave him only 5,7 points. A sad day for Thomas, but since all of us is danish, everybody won anyway.
After having fun from the boat, the first day was over, and we partied most of the night (as we do).
On day 2 we were presented to the Whithaven Beach. On Whithaven the sand is around 97, something procent pure. This means that you are able to brush your teeth in the sand (this is true), and exfoliate yourself with the sand. The most beautiful beach we have ever seen! Would be cruel not to give you pictures eh?
This is Whithaven Beach seen from the water obviously. Thomas, Christian and I were running from the beach out into the water. Have never ever felt so exhausted before, due to the amounts of goon we have been drinking (Danish translation: Goon er billig vin man drikker hernede, fordi det er det billigste sprøjt man kan få. Man får det VIRKELIG dårligt dagen efter normalt). I should say that Thomas and Christian are two danish lads we met in Magnetic Islands, and we have been together with them until Airlie Beach.
This is a picture of the view from one of the points on Whithaven Beach. Thomas is exhausted in the front, and Sissel + Christian is lying somewhere in the bushes puking.
Here you guys are able to see the true view. Huge sandblows with the famous pure sand. The water was probably around 27 degrees, because it was so shallow. The next pictures you will see, is taking place in the left side of the picture above here.
We got to go back to the beach and goof around in the water. All of us had to wear stinger-suits, which protects us from jelly-fish. Poisoness wobbly things sent directly from hell.
Anyway. We entered the water, and decided to do some acrobatics in there. It was so much fun, and one idea took another. Just have a look.
I didnt get that many pictures ufortunately, but the first picture is Christian, Tessa and me. It is safe to say that we started a trend, doing stuff like this. We tried to make a group photo of everybody, but because the clipper crew were unable to handle their own camera, all the pictures they took from Whithaven Beach is gone.
Thomas and me showing the danish way to rock. The entire group from the Clipper is behind the camera, roughly 50 people at that time.
Last picture from the wateracrobatics, and the best way to exit that stand is of course to jump. The crew guide Greg tried to arrange us on the shore, so we spelled Atlantic Clipper. Again the camera got the best of them so we only have the picture i got from my camera.
It is hard to tell, but we ARE spelling Atlantic Clipper. In the front some of the people are posing.
Before we had to move on to get lunch on the boat, we had time to chill and do whatever.
So this is what we did in our funtime.
MERMAID MANIAC! Thomas and Sissel did a good job making me look beautiful.
Impossible to have a good day without a selfie. We had a blast on the Whithaven Beach, but unfortunately it was time for us to go back.
From here on we had some dinner, and got to dive. Christian, Thomas, Sissel and me were in our own group, and got to chill together 14 meters under water and snorkeled when we were done diving.
From there on it was party-time! Since children is reading this blog, all the lady-boy pictures from the party during the evening will be on facebook. Hint, I (rasmus) got to wear a purple little beauty, and was runner up in the competition to become the Clipper King.
From here on we got back to Airlie Beach. Our group we met on the Clipper spent the following couple of days together. Sissel, Christian, Thomas, Verity, Chloe, Stephen, Joe, Liam, Ryan, Lauren, Efkan, Aisling, Tessa and me partied from the break of dawn. Everybody split up in Airlie beach, and the next stop for us was Agnes Water. We got back together with Efkan, Stephen and Tessa where we did the Cast Away experience. Basicly a trip to an island, where we had to be for 24 hours.
Departing with Bruce the stuntpilot. We have heard tales about this fellow, and we got to see him in action. In his little beauty he did zero-gravity. Ascended quite a while and descended quickly. Sissel facial expression was priceless, but unfortunately i was not snappy enough with the camera. No pictures.
Our camp was very basic. Efkan and Sissel is sitting around the bunfire place, waiting for the rest of our group to arrive.
Here is our kitchen where we got visit from one of our friends.
Liam the Lizard visited us. Him and his friends Stan the spider became our nearst friends, and we liked it...
We went to see the sunset, and came across this place. A deserted place on the island. It used to be a lake, but for some reason it was drained for water, and now this amazing piece of nature.
During the night, guess what we did. Party.
Following day we had to go home. Bruce showed us the best looking places around the islands from his plane on the way back. Another piece of paradise from this side on the planet. We made our way back to Agnes Water and cought up with Stephen. We stayed in Cool Bananas, the most wicked place to be in Agnes Water. Everybody got along and the vibe there is so relaxed and friendly. This was our favorite place to be so far on our journey!
Stephen, Sissel, Mary and I decided the next day to go surfing. That was our first surflesson, and we did good!
First group foto
Stephen doing his thing on the waves.
Rasmus catching one of the waves
Sissel strong going.
First surf-lesson done. Awesome!
Stephen developed amazing female curves during this lesson.
DONE! We love surfing, and we are looking forward to go to Coffs Harbour to do our surfers school for 3 days straight. Alright. Now we are off to crazy Rainbow Beach where we are doing our Fraser Island 4x4 tag along tour. Stephen is more or less our travelmate by now, and he is going to rainbow beach with us. We were even in the same car.
Frooom the left corner! The big german in the red shirt, ROBERT. The posing irish beauty in the green dress Normajean and her better half Lee in the white shirt. Another irish beauty is Stephanie flexing her muscles in the middle. Moving on to the happy hippi, Sissel from Denmark. Sarah is co-representing germany from the right side, and in the back the two hunks showing their dominance by making everybody else stand outside of the car. STEPHEN AND RASMUS!
We had so much fun in the Red Rocket, both when Sarah did some serious stunt-driving and smashing a tree, and when Sissel showed us the beautiful view at 5 km/h.
Lee is taking the wheel at the start. Everybody is happy, having a great time and i dont think we have been singing as much as we did on that trip.
First sight was a HUGE turtle. Possibly 1 meter, and everybody was thrilled seeing it. Unfortunately when we got to see it from the other side it was dead.
Rearview picture of the three happy girls, putting their lives in the hand of an irish lad driving the car. Gutsy i must say!
As Fraser Island is the biggest sand-island in the world, there was bound to be some jumps. Lee is NOT fistpumping, but taking his precautions incase the car should fall over. Obviously Normajean and I are enjoying ourselves.
First stop, group foto of us in Lake Makensie. The sand there was around 95 % pure, almost as pure as on the Whithaven Beach. We stayed there and cooled down for an hour, and moved on into the wild.
The most famous wreck on Fraser Island is this one. I dont remember the name, but beautiful and rusty it was! As we moved on, eventually we got to our camp. Dingo prove camp, but definitely not snake and spider prove! (Fyi Dingos are wild dogs living on the Fraser Island). Dangerous!
One of the local abo's told us that there was a snake living in the kitchen. None of us believed him, but we came to regret our laughes when we saw this creature. 2,5 meter long python hanging around the kitchen waiting for some stupid backpackers to touch it, and then go crazy.
Nighttime is goon/beer time. Also on Fraser Island! First night on Fraser, and we got to meet some of the people we were on Cast away with. That meant huge party until midnight where we went down to the beach. More pictures to come!
Stephen and Sissel enjoying them selves.
Second day we got to Champaign pools. A special little place on the island, where only huge waves can reach. Therefore the water is warm and nice, and for some reason there was supposed to be some bubbles there. Therefore the name Champaign pools.
The goon and the beer hit harder then i imagined. Time for a little nap before the journey continues!
We went to Indian Point. The best place to look at the geography of the island, and also a great place to watch whales, dolphins, sharks and turtles. We saw all of it, and we were more then satisfied and tired!
Next stop was hangover creek. A freshwater creek running towards the sea. This creek alone is pumping out between 2-3 million litres of water every day. Freshwater! That meant we had to opportunity to fuel up on fresh water directly from the nature. Otherwise you could float back into the sea, a great experience. Reason for the name hangover creek, is because once you get into the water, your hangovers are gone at once!
That was the end of day 2, and we made our way back to the camp. Unfortunately some other guests took our tents, and we found this little fellow on the tent. A huntsman spider, around 10 cm in diameter. The only thing we could do to forget about that nasty sucker, was to consume some goon. And consumed we did!
Me, Stephanie and Stephen have a blast in the dancefloor. Yes there was a dancefloor on the Island. A tiny shed with a iPod plug-inn.
Third and last day we went to another lake. It was located in a tiny desert, and the way down there was incredibly steep, which before costed 3 backpackers their lives. They ran from where the pictures was taking, down into the lake. Some of them didnt make it to the lake, because the hill was so steep, they got out of balance, and broke their neck. Stupid backpackers (all of them were german, wonder why).
Before departing the island, we encountered another Dingo. He/she/ladyboy was not hostile (at least we think so), and left us in peace as we did it.
This ends the amazing, wicked tour on Fraser Island. Possibly the best place we have been so far, and we will meet everybody from the trip in Brisbane tonight, since we booked the same hostel by chance.
The day we got back we had a reunion party on the hostel. Everybody knew each other and a new little family was made.
The last night in Rainbow Beach we went sandsurfing and saw the sunset.
Here we are, showing everybody else how to do it! The slope was fairly steep, but eventually we got the hang of if.
SURFERDUDE!
The most beautiful sunset on the east-coast (or so we were told). Silhouette picture of me, Steve and Sissel.
There was time for some acrobatics here to!
Steve celebrating with jazz-hands on the bottom of the slope. That made Rainbow Beach, and the three of us are off to Noosa, where we are now.
Yesterday we went to the Australian Zoo, where we saw all kinds of cool animals. Pictures from there is still to come, since we are to lazy to get them from Sissels camera.
I hope yall enjoyed stalking our lives in Australia. We are going to Brisbane today, and we are going to catch up with Verity and Chloe from Whitsundays (Airlie Beach), and tomorrow with Anna from Cairns. Happy days to come! Love to everybody from the Aussie life.
